Latest Town Centre Regeneration Plan
The latest plan for the regeneration of the Town Centre has been sent to me “as a courtesy.”
The annoying thing about this is that the plan for November 2007 clearly shows the Towers still standing. It is marked in yellow on the diagram. No one told the Towers residence this. Perhaps no one knew. Either way it is a pretty disgraceful way to treat people whose lives are going to be directly affected by this development.
The Edward Confessor pub was opened for a few days so the public could see the new plan. It has been occupied as a show room for this development for years. Almost always shut.
If this is an example of the cost control on this project, then I suspect our community charge will sky rocket in the future.
